Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has made a name for himself by going out and securing some of the league’s best talent. And according to NBC Sports’ Matthew Berry, Jones is planning on making a “splash” to improve the team’s offense this offseason.

While Berry didn’t mention any specifics of what exactly Jones is looking for, he wrote that the organization feels it doesn’t have another real star in the passing game to pair with second-team All-Pro CeeDee Lamb.

There are a number of top wide receivers that could become available in the coming weeks. So, it’ll be interesting to see how Jones and the Cowboys proceed with their plan.

When talking to his source about what kind of moves the organization could make, Berry threw out the idea of trading for Cardinals receiver DeAndre Hopkins. His source agreed that’s the type of move that would fall under the “splashy” category.

Berry made it clear that Hopkins to Dallas isn’t even an rumor, just something he inquired about, though.

It’s also been previously reported that Odell Beckham Jr. remains a target for the Cowboys, as Jones confirmed as much to ESPN’s Todd Archer.

“He’s somebody that I have the same kind of interest that I had in him during the season,” Jones said.

Beckham, 30, last played in 2022 when he won the Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams, tearing his ACL during the game. That season, he had 44 catches for 537 yards and five touchdowns in 14 games with the Cleveland Browns and Rams.
