From a list price of US$329.99, the 2 TB version of the Gigabyte Aorus Gen4 7000s PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD is now down to US$169.99. This SSD features AES-256 encryption support, is compatible with the Sony PlayStation 5 console, and delivers sequential read/write speeds of up to 7000/5500 MB/s.
Available since early February 2021, the Gigabyte Aorus Gen4 7000s PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD is available in two sizes, but each capacity comes with two choices, namely with or without an aluminum heatsink. However, the best discount currently available is a generous 48% that only applies to the 2 TB SSD without a heatsink. However, this SSD comes with an integrated copper heat spreader that runs from one end to another and is fully compatible with the Sony PlayStation 5 console.
The discounted model is GP-AG70S2TB. In addition to ubiquitous features such as TRIM and S.M.A.R.T., the list of highlights also includes wear leveling and over-provision, AES-256 encryption support, as well as sequential read/write speeds of up to 7000/5000 MB/s. The discounts that apply to the other Gigabyte Aorus Gen4 7000s options start at 6% (GP-AG70S1TB), and go up to 16% for the GP-AG70S1TB-P model (1 TB with heatsink) and 17% for the GP-AG70S2TB-P (2 TB with heatsink), a discount that brings this product to its lowest price in 30 days (US$281.99, down from a list price of US$339.99).
Although there are quite a few Gen5 PCIe 5.0 NVMe M.2 SSDs already on the market, the older ones like the Gigabyte Aorus Gen4 7000s are still relevant for multiple purposes. When used in a Sony PlayStation 5, for example, the console reports a speed of over 6500 MB/s, while the minimum required is 5500 MB/s. The current list price of US$329.99 for the 2 TB (US$339.99 for the variant with heatsink) is already lower than the US$380 launch price, so the US$169.99 discounted price shouldn’t be missed, especially since it can be lowered by an additional US$50 upon approval for the Amazon Rewards Visa Card.

In my early school days, I hated writing and having to make up stories. A decade later, I started to enjoy it. Since then, I published a few offline articles and then I moved to the online space, where I contributed to major websites that are still present online as of 2021 such as Softpedia, Brothersoft, Download3000, but I also wrote for multiple blogs that have disappeared over the years. I’ve been riding with the Notebookcheck crew since 2013 and I am not planning to leave it anytime soon. In love with good mechanical keyboards, vinyl and tape sound, but also smartphones, streaming services, and digital art.
