The first Apple iPhone 15 Pro live image has seemingly been shared right after leaked CAD files of the smartphone were also posted online. While the real-life iPhone 15 Pro photo doesn’t reveal too much, it does confirm the switch from a Lightning port to a USB-C port for the upcoming Apple device.

The iPhone 15 Pro has turned up in an alleged live shot that shows the smartphone from the bottom edge. This is actually quite an important angle for the device to be shown in, as it reveals that Apple is forging ahead with its USB-C iPhone. The image, which was initially shared by @URedditor, also shows the Apple iPhone 15 Pro in a titanium color with what appear to be more rounded edges. Both the presence of the USB-C port and the seemingly curvier and more hold-in-the-hand friendly edges have also been unveiled in recently leaked CAD files.

The files, which were shared by 9To5Mac, apparently come from an iPhone case designer in China, so there is a good chance they genuinely represent the iPhone 15 Pro design. Obviously, the USB-C port is once again one of the standout changes to be noticed from the predecessor iPhone 14 Pro, but the camera bump also deserves closer scrutiny. As shown off in a comparison by Ian Zelbo, the iPhone 15 Pro camera bump is huge, with possibly new rumored sensors requiring Apple to increase the already considerable size of the housing.

The same source also compares the edges of the Apple iPhone 15 Pro in the CAD files with those of the 2022 predecessor, and it can be seen that the corners are definitely more rounded. Apple will want users to keep their iPhones in the hand and use them as much as possible, so it will pay to make sure the device is comfortable to hold during prolonged usage. Zelbo has also produced some iPhone 15 Pro concept renders based on the leaked files, with the curvier edges providing appeal but the enlarged camera bump arguably off-putting to some. This Apple iPhone 15 Pro design might yet change before the device is released later this year.
