The 13 Ultra is expected to launch as Xiaomi’s next top-end Android phablet soon. Now, its latest leak purports to spill more details on its rear camera thought to debut as the latest 50MP 1-inch monster from its series. These two cutting-edge specs are now also thought to be joined by a third, although its selfie counterpart may fail to improve compared to that of the current 13 Pro flagship.

Xiaomi is projected to follow its 12S Ultra with a 13 Ultra of potential generational advantages, a return to global availability included. Then again, the upcoming model is also thought to launch with the same IMX989 main camera as its predecessor.

However, it seems this 1-inch sensor might come with some adjustment compared to that of the 12-series flagship after all. According to the tipster Digital Chat Station, the top-end mobile 50MP CIS will be found behind a variable aperture module for the first time in Xiaomi’s history.

Conversely, the same leak comes with vague clues that the 13 Ultra’s display may fail to improve on that of the 13 Pro in some ways. Digital Chat Station indicates that the 2 devices may have a selfie camera of the same function and resolution – then again, as it is now slated to be a “micro” version, the Ultra’s punch-hole may turn out looking as small, if not smaller, compared to that of the existing 13-series flagship.
